A Is For Atlas

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a bunch of Greek gods, one for each letter of the alphabet. Background is black. I always kind of like this type of shirt, but I'm not sure about the pagan god idea. The pictures aren't bad at all...kind of cute, actually, at least for some of them. Just...not that exciting of a topic. It makes me feel like I should study them for a literature test or something...Still, not a bad design.

Sun Wukong (The Monkey King)

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a fighting monkey king. I guess. Odd...The background color is absolutely atrocious. I kind of like the blue monkey design itself. Interesting style. Ugly shirt. Not to mention I can't read the (Japanese?) lettering on it...Also, what's up with the shoes? I don't get it...and I'm not going to get this shirt.

Ur-Sign

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a bear holding a cardboard sign saying "will hug for food" next to a tipped over honey pot. Obviously it's a play on the term bearhug. I like it. I understand it... It makes me think of "free hugs" shirts that I've seen. This is way more fun...it'd be a lot better if the sign said "Free Hugs" instead of "will hug for food" though...next time...

Flock Together

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a variety of birds huddled together on a blue background. It's a little cute...possibly an argument for diversity...taking literally "birds of the feather flock together." Overall, it's nice, but not all that exciting.

This Machine Kills Faxes

I'm not exactly sure what the shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is implying...but it looks really cool. I like the style of white line-art on a black background a lot. And guitars are cool too. Paper shredders I have no opinion on. I am opposed to the destruction of musical instruments. The shirt is still pretty cool.

Defrost

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a frozen heart being melted by a guy on a ladder with a blowtorch. It's cute...Nice colors...Not bad overall. I'm trying to figure out a deep significance for the guy holding an umbrella below the dripping heart. Maybe there isn't any significance to it...seems like there should be though. How come this shirt isn't called Heartburn?

Imposter

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is four penguins on an iceberg...or...three penguins and a fake penguin on an iceberg...I like it. It has penguins. Not sure exactly what the disguised penguin is implying...but I'm guessing it's bad for the three real ones. I like the color for this shirt too...good job.

Don't You Wanna Be Free?

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a guy dancing in space. I'm honestly not sure what the significance of this shirt is. The description is talking about oxygen deprivation...maybe that's a hint. Maybe it's a subtle commentary on a culture that represses the urge to dance by killing those who express themselves. Or maybe not. I personally like the shoes. The shirt's not bad...just a really boring color, and kind of an odd design. Overall...eh...The background does blend in with the background of the blog rather nicely, though.

Monkey Bars

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is decent today. It's taking the phrase "Monkey Bars" literally, and I always like taking things literally. There's monkeys with drinks hanging on the playground equipment, and there's a kid staring mournfully at the "21+" sign. It's entertaining. Not something I'd wear, just because of the alcohol reference and the problems with drinking I see on my campus...but I'd laugh if I saw someone else wearing it, and that's a good sign, right?

Fly Paper

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is one of the best ones I've seen in a while. It's a bunch of newspapers folded into a giant paper bird. The only way I'd like it better would be if it took the "fly paper" concept farther and it made a fly instead of a bird. Still, this has a better origami feel to it. I like it.

title

Interesting shirt today on shirt.woot.com. I sort of like it, but I'm not sure why. Not something I'd ever really wear. It's a picture of the digestive system, involving animals. And a smokestack. Yeah...you try to describe it...guessing it won't sell out...It's sort of colorful...

Columbus Discovers Seven Stranded Castaways

Honestly, I'm not sure what the shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is about. I hate it when I think there might be some deeper meaning that I'm missing...because there probably is...On the surface, it's Christopher Columbus discover an island, presumably America, on which there are 7 stranded castaways. Is this a reference to a movie? What is it about? Not a bad shirt...but not that great either...depending what I'm missing...

Muertocorrido

Today's shirt on shirt.woot.com is based on a band I'm not really familiar with, and it has skulls. Fundamental problems...not buying it. On the other hand, it does have a guitar...but no...Oh, and all the woot.com sites have a new design today.

The Gearassic Period

Today's shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is really rather cool. It's three silhouettes of dinosaurs with gears shown inside the bodies. There's a running triceratops with a raptor on top of it and another raptor in the foreground. The background is a decent pale blue color. I kinda like this shirt. I love the little details like the bullhorn in the mouth of the triceratops, or the nuclear hazard symbol in the stomach. Very nice...sort of want one...

Coral Royale

Today's shirt on shirt.woot.com is two snakes, a coral snake and a kingsnake, twisted together on a red background. I rather like the shirt. Red on yellow, kill a fellow, red on black, ok jack. It's a pretty cool shirt. Except maybe for people who don't like snakes. That might be a bit uncomfortable...but for the rest of us, it's good shirt.

Dirty Job

As good as yesterday's shirt was, today's shirt on shirt.woot.com is the opposite. I don't like it. I think I'm not going to try to describe it...it's something about heavy metal (a lousy music style) and it's a shirt style I don't like. So there. Bad shirt.

Life Renewed

I really like today's shirt on shirt.woot.com. It's a black background with a smokey shadow of a ghostly phoenix in the middle, and a bright golden chick in the middle, rising from the ashes. This one may not be the most creative shirt ever, but it does manage to be really cool looking. Whenever I see a reference to a phoenix, I think of Fawkes, from Harry Potter. Really, that's kind of sad that that's what I think of...not something from classical mythology. But, it's the truth...anyway, quite a cool shirt today.

The Epic Begins

Today's shirt on shirt.woot.com is the first one in a while to sellout. It's an olive green color with four young turtles around a shattered tube of toxic (nuclear?) material. I admit this shirt is creative (and certainly better than some this week), but I've never been a fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or these preteen mutating non-ninja turtles. Still, many people would really like this shirt. That's fairly obvious considering it's sold out...that's what I get for not posting right at midnight...

Gita Solo

Today's shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is just ugly. It's a strange outline of a face formed out of flowers on an ugly tan background. I'm not really sure what to say about it, except that there's no way I'd ever wear this. The quadruple hands are odd...looks kind of like a bunny in an odd sort of way.

Sliding Scales

Today's shirt on shirt.woot.com is a twisted sort of dragon with some people sliding on its scales. The dragon is green on an olive green background. I don't like dragon shirts much, and this one is no exception. I also despise the color olive green. This is not a shirt I would buy, wear, or recommend. Yeah...skip this one.

Behold!

I rather like today's shirt on shirt.woot.com. It's a very red shirt featuring a tea packet standing on the edge of a teacup parting the waters (the tea). The packet is complete with a golden halo and staff. The intent of this shirt is obviously to refer to the story in Exodus of Moses parting the Red Sea so the Israelites could cross to safety away from the pursuing Egyptians. I think it's an interesting choice to have the red part of the story as the shirt color, a color shirt.woot.com calls "Parting The Red Tee." You'd think the tea in the cup would be red, but instead it's a white and gray color that makes the "tea" look like cake frosting. I think it'd be a better design if the tea was red, and the background was different...or maybe I'm just too literal...

The Snow Flakes are Whiter on the Other Side

The Snow Flakes are Whiter on the Other Side

Today's shirt on shirt.woot.com is a dark green background with a snowman in a snowglobe floating towards some snowflakes. The snowglobe looks a lot like a small spaceship to me, and the snowflakes look like stars. I think I would have called this shirt something about Snow in a Vacuum, or Iceman in Space. I also like the expression on the snowman's face...he can't quite tell if he should be looking forward to the adventure, or dreading impending suffocation (or perhaps melting...)Anyway, looks like a decent shirt, although not Woot's best.
