And?

Today's shirt is on a white background, which pretty much automatically means I don't like it that much. With a great design, perhaps I could overlook that, but this is not a great print. I don't think I totally understand the design...it's basically a snake in the shape of an ampersand, with the word "and" printed in a few places. Yeah...maybe I'm just being stupid. Actually, I probably am about this shirt. The point is, I don't really like it.

Fiery Autumn Colors

I'm back at college! That means that I should be starting to post on this blog semi-regularly now. So, without further ado, today's shirt is titled "Fiery Autumn Colors" and is a really cool picture of a tree made of fire. I don't really have much to say about it, except that it's really cool. I'm not going to buy it for two reasons:
1. I'm very cheap (and I'm a college student...)
2. I counted my t-shirts before coming to school, and I have over 50. I feel like that is kind of ridiculous, so odds are that I won't be buying any Woot shirt this year. I'll continue to live vicariously through my friends who like spending money...
Anyway, this is a good shirt. I like it. It's cool.

I'm Sorry

Firstly, I'm sorry that I haven't posted in a while, and I will be quite inconsistent throughout the summer, as I'll be working at a camp with very limited computer access. However, I do plan to keep up this blog next fall. So, without further ado, today's shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a very cute picture of two game pieces (what are they actually called? Pawns? They look like pawns to me...) on a game board, and the blue one is offering flowers to the red one. I like it...it's creative, and it's a good pun. Interesting visual style with the crosshatched lines...pretty cool looking. Probably one of my favorite shirts recently.

Music Is Life

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a pair of headphones on a black background, with green stuff (life) arising from them. As a musician, I love the Music is Life title! I don't actually think music is all there is to life, just on a religion basis. However, there are a lot worse things in life...I love music! The shirt is pretty cool too...This whole music series of shirts should be cool!

Computer 2000

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a cartoon of a computer in the style of a late 1990's (2000, per the title) beige box with a bunch of little cartoon people on it. I like it automatically because it's a computer, but the beige color is just bad, and the cartoon is rather dull. I also feel the need to point out (being the Apple fan that I am) that Apple's computers in 2000 had color, curves, and were generally nice looking. This is sort of accurate for a WinTel box though...but the shirt is like the computer design of the time: boring.

Bomb Deco

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a dark shirt with a (World War II B-24 Liberator type) bomber plane and bombs. I guess this shirt is cool if you like WWII planes (I do), but it's not exactly funny or anything like that. I like the color "Asphalt Runway." Overall though, eh...not that great of a shirt. The plane is cool. The shirt: not so much.

Without Porpoise

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a simple blue shirt with the text, "Where there's a will, Hey! There's a " and then a picture of a large whale. The background is blue. I understand the "Where there's a will there's a way" idea, but not this shirt. It's a whale. Whale == Way. Not really very funny. And what's with the "Hey!"? Maybe I'm missing something. Or, maybe it's just not that funny. Ah well...eh...

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com features a wooden guitar with the neck turning into a tree. It's really kind of cool looking. Not that profound, but cool looking. I agree with some of the commentators on the shirt.woot.com forums in that the blue color doesn't quite fit. It'd make more sense with a green background. Of course, then the leaves might not show up...Anyway, decent shirt, somewhat bland though.

Mars Madness

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a spoof of March Madness basketball brackets. What if they had competition with Martians? The shirt has a green background (of course! It's St. Patrick's day!) and a tournament bracket. Instead of teams, there are cartoon figures of an astronaut, a giant spider, and other "Martian" like things. It's a decent shirt...nothing incredibly exciting...of course, I also don't really care about basketball...

Playing God

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a cartoon of a stereotypical "God" about to smash the dinosaurs with a meteor that he is holding. This is such a stereotype of God that it's not even that funny. It's an old, white man, with a halo over his head and a beard. I realize the humor is supposed to be found in the stereotype, but I just don't think it's that funny. Maybe it's just the mood I'm in right now. Anyway, just not that exciting of a shirt today. Pass on this one...

Pterodactyl With A Machine Gun

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is awesome!!! It's a black shirt with stars showing constellations on it. The fun part is, the constellations are things like "Utah" or "Pterodactyl With A Machine Gun" or "Nondescript Polygon." This shirt describes how I feel about constellations...the only one (besides the Big Dipper) that I can ever find is one I labeled myself, called "The Great Glove." The shirt also glows in the dark! This shirt is awesome. I think I'm going to take a huge credibility jump, and actually buy this shirt...yeah...

They Were Delicious

There has been almost a total lack of updates this week, as I've been both sick and overwhelmed with homework. That said, here's a review of today's shirt on shirt.woot.com. Today's shirt is a green sea dragon/monster creature in water. The serpent creature is digesting a whale, a submarine, and a large sailing ship, and the outlines of said digested vessels are visible in the skin of the serpent creature. It's amusing...not especially profound...I kind of like it, but there's nothing spectacular about it. Decent.

She is Reported to Have Said That Before

Continuing with a string of good shirts this week, the shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com features two hamsters next to a wheel. One, wearing a hat that says "Coach" is saying, "Wow, that was faster than what I expected." The other, dressed (can a hamster be dressed?) as an athlete, responds, "That's what she said." Hilarious. And...it has hamsters...and a hamster wheel...and some cool lighting/shadow design on the wheel. I like it. Bet this one will sell out too...although probably not as fast as yesterday's did...

Some Motivation Required

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a black shirt with a white silhouette of a tyrannosaurus rex chasing a person, with the caption "Exercise: Some Motivation Required." I really like this shirt! It's simple, it's clever, it's obvious what it means, and it's hilarious! Really tempted to buy this one...if I wasn't a poor college student...anyway, greatly shirt that I highly recommend! I'm guessing this one will sell out...it deserves to sell out!

Today on shirt.woot.com is a bit different than normal...instead of the usual one shirt per day, they are selling random shirts! Instead of $10 per shirt, they're $6.66 each. Still includes shipping. Unfortunately, they're out of my size by now...They're out of medium, large, and extra large and it's not even 9 AM yet...grr...but, if you're looking for an XXXL, or a child's size, you might still be in luck...

Camera Eyes

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a very weird abstract photography outline thing. It's sort of a person with their body made of outlines and graphs of pictures of their body. You Have To Try This Guys

This is one of those pointless posts where the shirt is already sold out by the time I get around to posting on it. Sigh...on the positive side, I got a lot of sleep last night...

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a picture of a group of rabbits standing around with carrots, looking at one rabbit who has found meat to eat. Perhaps it's a reference to the killer rabbit in Monty Python and the Holy Grail? Or, perhaps it's a political statement against vegetarians? Or in favor of hunting rights? Or, maybe it's just funny...I'll go with that one...like I said, it's sold out anyway, so obviously people liked it. I wouldn't wear it, but it's pretty funny.

First of all: Woot-Off on www.woot.com!!!
Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a picture showing atomic orbits with different dice (D10, D20, etc). I don't play any games (besides Munchkin!) that use dice like that, but I have some friends who do, and I still think the shirt's hilarious!

Love Machine

First of all: Woot-Off on www.woot.com!!!
Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a shirt with a picture of a love machine on it. It's supposed to be a perpetual motion machine, fueled by love. The caption says "You Complete Me." Seeing the title and description, I understand it, but I confess if I was looking at the shirt itself I'm not sure I'd be able to tell it's about love. Anyway, it's a nice clean white background, and a cute machine, so overall, decent shirt.

Gluttony: Thy Name Is Pete

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is an extremely fat cat, presumably named Pete, who is dreaming of food, shown in thought bubbles over her head. I kind of like it...it's creative. I like the fish bones especially...and the bird. Much better color than yesterday too.

Thrifty Fill-Up

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a ketchup bottle filling itself from ketchup packets. It's kind of hard to describe...but it's really funny. Somehow, condiments always seem to be funny...

The New Guy

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a fire hydrant on a sidewalk with a robot (resembling another fire hydrant) next to it. The other robot is carrying flowers. The faded bricks in the background faintly resembles a heart...wonder if that's intentional? The robot (the female?) is carrying a bouquet of flowers...This shirt is cute. Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a bunch of Greek gods, one for each letter of the alphabet. Background is black. I always kind of like this type of shirt, but I'm not sure about the pagan god idea. The pictures aren't bad at all...kind of cute, actually, at least for some of them. Don't You Wanna Be Free?

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is a guy dancing in space. I'm honestly not sure what the significance of this shirt is. The description is talking about oxygen deprivation...maybe that's a hint. Maybe it's a subtle commentary on a culture that represses the urge to dance by killing those who express themselves. Or maybe not. I personally like the shoes. Monkey Bars

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is decent today. It's taking the phrase "Monkey Bars" literally, and I always like taking things literally. There's monkeys with drinks hanging on the playground equipment, and there's a kid staring mournfully at the "21+" sign. It's entertaining. Not something I'd wear, just because of the alcohol reference and the problems with drinking I see on my campus...but I'd laugh if I saw someone else wearing it, and that's a good sign, right?

Shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is one of the best ones I've seen in a while. It's a bunch of newspapers folded into a giant paper bird. Honestly, I'm not sure what the shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is about. Today's shirt of the day on shirt.woot.com is really rather cool. It's three silhouettes of dinosaurs with gears shown inside the bodies. As good as yesterday's shirt was, today's shirt on shirt.woot.com is the opposite. I don't like it. I think I'm not going to try to describe it...it's something about heavy metal (a lousy music style) and it's a shirt style I don't like. So there. Bad shirt.

Life Renewed

I really like today's shirt on shirt.woot.com. It's a black background with a smokey shadow of a ghostly phoenix in the middle, and a bright golden chick in the middle, rising from the ashes. This one may not be the most creative shirt ever, but it does manage to be really cool looking. Whenever I see a reference to a phoenix, I think of Fawkes, from Harry Potter. Really, that's kind of sad that that's what I think of...not something from classical mythology. But, it's the truth...anyway, quite a cool shirt today.

The Epic Begins

Today's shirt on shirt.woot.com is the first one in a while to sellout. It's an olive green color with four young turtles around a shattered tube of toxic (nuclear?) material. I admit this shirt is creative (and certainly better than some this week), but I've never been a fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or these preteen mutating non-ninja turtles. Still, many people would really like this shirt. That's fairly obvious considering it's sold out...that's what I get for not posting right at midnight...

Behold!

I rather like today's shirt on shirt.woot.com. It's a very red shirt featuring a tea packet standing on the edge of a teacup parting the waters (the tea). The packet is complete with a golden halo and staff. The intent of this shirt is obviously to refer to the story in Exodus of Moses parting the Red Sea so the Israelites could cross to safety away from the pursuing Egyptians. I think it's an interesting choice to have the red part of the story as the shirt color, a color shirt.woot.com calls "Parting The Red Tee." You'd think the tea in the cup would be red, but instead it's a white and gray color that makes the "tea" look like cake frosting. I think it'd be a better design if the tea was red, and the background was different...or maybe I'm just too literal...

The Snow Flakes are Whiter on the Other Side

The Snow Flakes are Whiter on the Other Side

Today's shirt on shirt.woot.com is a dark green background with a snowman in a snowglobe floating towards some snowflakes. The snowglobe looks a lot like a small spaceship to me, and the snowflakes look like stars. I think I would have called this shirt something about Snow in a Vacuum, or Iceman in Space. I also like the expression on the snowman's face...he can't quite tell if he should be looking forward to the adventure, or dreading impending suffocation (or perhaps melting...)Anyway, looks like a decent shirt, although not Woot's best.
